Sunsilk PFDC Fashion Week 2012 Day 3

16:26

The third day of the fashion show began with the same enthusiasm and hype; and upheld the momentum it initially sought to maintain.

Keeping tradition, the fashion show began with the national anthem. The first designer up on the ramp was Karma pink. The collection was immediately considered a favourite because of the extremely funky theme, bright choice of colours, cool accessories like earmuffs and bands. As if this wasn't enough to leave a mark on the audience, the show stopped with cute little kids dressed in funky clothing, supporting long hats with stripes. Cybil was the show stopper amidst these children; followed by Maheen Kardar walking the ramp in a jumpsuit.

Next up was Somal Halepoto's collection. Her theme comprised of bright, flowy, long, colourful dresses with light embroidery. The focal colour in her collection was parrot green. Mehreen Syed was the show stopper for the collection. Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design showcased a theme of black and white dresses soon after. Their collection easily won praise, as these students of today were the fashion designers of tomorrow. Fnk Asia was next, beginning the second act. Their motto was "Ain't I a woman". Their collection did not leave the audience utterly impressed but the combination of hoodies with long shirts was a trend the audience liked. Next up was Hammad ur Rehman, whose kurtas with bold and colorful theme were loved by the crowd. Dane pe dana played in the background as Hammad Ur Rehman showcased his collection, instantly making the crowd go crazy over his collection.

The final designer of the day was Ali Xeeshan whose theme was derived from his quote" My personality is really sharp so I use sharp colours".
