Sunsilk PFDC Fashion Week 2012 Day 1

The glamorous fashion week kick started on 13th April, showcasing collections of a variety of talented designers. The event was well organized by Sunsilk at Lahore Expo centre; thereby elevating standards for future fashion shows.

The show took a glorious start with the national anthem playing in the background. The first act of the day was opened by Nickie Nina with their luscious collection showcasing eccentric east blends with westernised clothes.The dresses were ethnic but short. Following them was Azza who has been pronounced the British designer of the year. There was great anticipation among the crowd to see the collection showcased by this woman of substance. Followed closely by her was Tazeen Hassan whose collection delineated an impressive line of light hues of pinks, greens on glittered and sequenced fabric! Her amazing collection ended with Mehreen Syed stopping the show. The ramp was then taken up by Muse whose philosophy was to develop and promote a new aesthetic of contemporary fashion by taking inspiration from design and craft. Muse's line emphasized on pockets in their collection.

Elan's collection was impressive as well, with huge emphasis on jewellery and golden color. The final designer to end the show was Mohsin Ali showcasing a theme called Baraan e Ishq. A designer full of surprises that he is, he pulled off an awesome collection yet again showing a splendid mix and match of vibrant colors, flowy dresses and multiple shades! His collection ended with Bibi Sanam Janum playing in the background.
