Back in December 2014 , I got the opportunity to attend Labels Fashion Event for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic Corp at Serena Hotel Islamabad . The event was great and so I decided to visit the store and write a detailed review . I am really thankful to Mr. Zahir Rahimtoola CEO Labels and Amna Badar, CEO of Labels Islamabad for their help and support along the way.

Its really a great blessing to get the opportunity to find all the big names and brands under one roof . Totally a time saver and a great experience thats what is Labels is all about .

LABELS Islamabad is set on 6000 square feet and located on the main road of the prestigious F6/1 sector at No.3, Main School Road, F-6/1, Islamabad (Near 7th Avenue).

According to the CEO Zahir Rahimtoola “Labels is Pakistan’s first and premier fashion retail store. The time was now and ripe for Labels to open in Islamabad since the city enjoys a transient population, which is conducive for retail.”

Aminah Badar, CEO of Labels Islamabad, also runs her own fashion line titled ‘Ballerina by Amna Badar’. She said that although fashion heavyweights from Karachi and Lahore will be housed in Labels, the brand looks towards launching new designers in the upcoming months.

Pashmina Ahmed, head of operations at Labels Islamabad, said that Labels has been selective about which designers to take on board to ensure a high quality quotient of its offerings. “From details to cuts to themes, we are being intimate and personal with what [designers] bring to our clients here,” she commented.

Self-Introduction. And please share few details about Aminah Badar’s Collection ?

I am Amina Badar , CEO of LABELS ISLAMABAD. I have been doing my Pret line for the past 2 years and have stocked my collection at Melange, Labels Karachi and the Labels Karachi E Store and now keeping up with the evolving Fashion Trends in Pakistan , I have come up with my latest innovation for the luxury Pret Line which I am stocking at Labels Islamabad.

Idea behind your personal brand and also Labels Pakistan ?

The idea for Aminah Badar’s Collection is to create a new aesthetic by taking a strong tradition of intricate hand embroidery, and combining it with sleek, modern designing to produce a contemporary mixture of fashion, luxury, and art that would resonate internationally.

My vision for Labels Islamabad has come a long way…. from a humble beginning LABELS has become Pakistan’s premier multi-designer store retailing fine clothing, accessories, handbags and precious jewellery essentially catering to the strong and independent woman of Pakistan.

Fashion industry predictions for 2015 ?

Pakistani fashion designers are taking Pakistani women fashion especially shalwar kamiz (salwar kameez, shalwar kameez) at the next level. We love to see the changes Pakistani women fashion designers are trying to make in this centuries old dress to keep it up with modern days demands. I believe that Pakistan fashion Industry will grow better in 2015.
