My thoughts about it:

I was using Revlon Colorstay Foundation from past 2 years but this has seriously caught my attention. Well I must say I am very much impressed by this product.

I was looking for some foundation that gives a medium to full coverage without giving that cakey look , having a light formula and is easy to blend ( I know that’s a long list ) . Specially during summers , when wearing Revlon Colorstay Foundation is a big NO for daily usage because of its thick and heavy formula .

MMM Silk Foundation claims to be a Halal liquid foundation that just “tune in” to your skin. Well I agree to the part that it gives a matte look without looking cakey on your skin . It just blends like next to your original skin .

Apart from giving medium-full coverage MMM Silk Foundation feels very light on skin specially if we compare it to Revlon Colorstay Foundation which feels quite heavy on skin.

MMM Silk Foundation can give you that cakey look ONLY IF you don’t choose a proper color for your skin or apply too much.

You just need to build it up slowly on your face and the formula is so light that it can give from light-medium and then medium- full coverage without giving that cakey look . But again you need to build it up slowly.

The texture is no doubt very light but its kind of dry as well . Its better to apply it with your fingers so it gently spreads and melts on skin with the warmth of your hands. And its better to apply a little bit of moisturizer before specially if your skin is dry.

I go for a Shade “ Cream” for MMM Silk Foundation and you can compare the color with Revlon Colorstay Foundation Combination to Oily skin in shade “Buff”. Its suitable for Nc20-25.

Some important points:

Gives medium to full coverage, build able and with a very easy to work with light creamy formula.

DOES lasts over 5 hours on my combination skin ( better to apply some oil control products first if your skin is too oily to increase the staying power ) and more then 7hrs on dry to normal skin .

I did use some Moisturizer ( Olay day Moisturizer) and makeup primer(NYX shine control) for best results and maximum staying power.

It gives a very flawless finish that do not need any concealer or powder afterwards.

Application with fingers is preferable but you can apply it with a damp sponge .

Quite affordable and gives a neat matte look.

Shade selection:

Now that’s a tricky part . Better get the consultation from Depilex staff or Sante the Salon staff for shade selection .

Tested and Tried :

Testing this beauty from almost a month during shopping , cooking or even playing football with my baby . And I must say that I am really satisfied with the results .

Though Islamabad's weather is still bearable and is less humid but even in the increasing temperature during long hours of the day while going through the above mentioned tasks , I find MMM silk foundation quite long lasting .

After 5+hrs of its application , I was able to easily fix the sightly shiny t-zone with some rose water spray or even with slightly dabbing the loose powder on the shiny area and I was good to go for another good hours.

Price:

MMM Silk Foundation comes with a price tag of Only PKR 1100 which is super affordable keeping in mind the high quality of the product.

Even the packaging is very stylish. MMM Silk Foundation comes in a very chic pump bottle that you can carry and use easily.
